Challenges

Our customer requested a fleet of 120 high-capacity ‘mud’ tanks to support upcoming projects. The complexity and scale of their requirements could not be met using standard rental units. Short lead times and budget constraints required collaboration across logistics, supply chain, and project management teams. The newly manufactured tanks would then need to be tested under simulated operational conditions.

Workscope

OEG manufactured and delivered a brand new fleet of tanks specifically to the customer’s requirements. Our project management team collaborated with manufacturing and logistics experts to maximise cost efficiencies.

Solution

Given the high quantity of materials needed for the new fleet, logistics coordinated shipments from three separate facilities to the manufacturing site for final assembly. Through our established relationships with suppliers and manufacturers we were able to secure competitive pricing and reduce lead times on high-quality materials, ensuring the project stayed within the agreed budget, timeframe, and would meet certification standards. The newly manufactured tanks underwent rigorous factory acceptance testing (FAT) to verify their requirements and functions under simulated operational conditions. FAT testing confirmed that the final assembly of all tanks was robust, leak-proof, and capable of withstanding the required pressure levels. All components and systems were fully operational. Our experience with large-scale projects and financial stability enables cost-effective purchasing of materials and improves
lead times ensuring fast and efficient project delivery.
