Core purpose

  • The Inspection Engineer is responsible for the processing of inspection data, the production of drawings and written reports and for ensuring a high-quality end product for Bluestream clients.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

  • Assist in interpreting client issued SOW
  • Set up drawings/datasheets/tracking sheets in accordance with the client issued Scope of Work (SOW)
  • Update inspection drawings/datasheets
  • Prepare complete work packs/systems for inspection projects
  • Set up Digital Edge recording system
  • Process and review of inspection data for final reporting
  • Prepare overall and comprehensive inspection reports
  • Archive inspection data
  • Assist in offering onshore support during offshore campaigns
  • Assist senior inspection engineer with tender support
  • Assist with any other duties as and when required
  • Responsible for compliance with SCC (VCA) and ISO standards

QHSE responsibilities

To have a general understanding of the areas of our QHSE Management System and OEG’s QHSE aims and objectives that are relevant to the role.

Comply with the requirements of OEG Energy Group Policies and the responsibilities within the wider QHSE Management System.

Skills and experiences

All data and inspection activities within the boundaries of the company’s guidelines as established in the authorisation list, available at Finance. 
  • Proven experience in project preparation and modern processing software (AutoCAD)
  • At least 1-3 years of relevant working experience in a similar position
  • Excellent command of the Dutch and English language, spoken and written
  • Experience in the offshore industry whilst desirable is not a position prerequisite 
  • Experience in MS-Office
  • Good knowledge of compliance with industry standards and relevant legislation
  • SCC (VCA) certified 
  • CSWIP 3.4U certified or willing to obtain

Qualifications

  • Mid-level technical education degree (Level 4)
